The Orion Group recognizes that we operate on the traditional lands of numerous Indigenous Nations. This region, known as Tkaronto (teh-ka-ronto), is part of Treaty 13 and the Williams Treaty Territory. It has been stewarded by the Anishinabek (nish-naw-bek) Nation, the Haudenosaunee (ho-dee-no-sho-nee) Confederacy, and the Huron-Wendat Peoples for generations. Today, it remains home to diverse First Nations, Inuit (ee-nu-eet), and Métis (may-tee) communities across Turtle Island. We honour the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation as the current treaty holders of this land, which is guided by the principles of the Dish with One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant - a commitment to shared stewardship and harmony in the Great Lakes region.
