POSITION: Marketing Manager
REPORTING TO: Assistant Property Manager
LOCATION: North Vancouver, B.C.
Responsibilities:
Marketing & Advertising:
Prepare an annual marketing plan for the property and execute strategies & tactics that will increase traffic, increase merchant sales and increase market share
Promote the property consistent with established goals and revenue objectives
Plan and execute appropriate advertising campaigns, merchandising events, promotional activities and public relations programs
Assist with specialty leasing activities where required
Negotiate media and other marketing related contracts as applicable
Project the centre’s image in line with the company’s posture as a good corporate citizen and business leader in the community; Foster positive tenant, consumer, community and philanthropic relationships
Initiate market research programs and keep current on market area changes, consumer and business trends as well as industry and competitive activities
Ensure management office/mall staff and merchants are informed of advertising schedules, events, etc.
Plan and execute special projects as required; Assist Regional Director of Marketing with duties as assigned
Update existing and write new content on the mall website
Write monthly Facebook posts and liaise with the company approved social media consultant to exercise best practices for Facebook advertising and campaigns
Budgeting & Reporting:
Prepare promotion fund budget and support schedules including control of funds through established accounts payable procedures.
Prepare monthly marketing reports and explain variances
Code and process centre marketing payables and analyze variances
Administration:
Work with the Property Administrator and Administrative Assistant to track and report monthly tenants sales by the 15th day of each month
Type and distribute correspondence to tenants
Assist with preparation of the monthly and quarterly reports
Work with the Administrative Assistant to maintain information in property directories and download information to the portal
Liaise with tenants and contractors as required or directed
Coordinate free tenant advertising opportunities including scheduling of tenant Facebook and website post requests, scheduling and facilitating table topper requests, scheduling and programming electronic message board
Track and report traffic counter data and Wi-Fi analytics. Work with the Maintenance Supervisor to monitor function of hardware and software for both systems
Complete and submit event/non-profit/community event requests for approval as part of the risk management process

Qualifications:
2 to 3 years of related experience. Real Estate, Marketing, Advertising and Event Planning a definite asset. Strong background in Public Relations and Customer Service. Proficient in spelling, punctuation and grammar.
Education - Post-secondary courses in marketing, combined with a strong service ethic commitment. Related post-secondary diploma or university degree an asset. Is prepared to undertake educational opportunities as deemed relevant.
Communication/Relationship Skills – ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, strong working relationships, ability to exercise confidentiality; team player.
Organizational/Multi-Task Skills – ability to allocate one’s time effectively, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines, ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities, adapt to new ideas and constant changes.
Computer Skills: Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook: knowledge of JD Edwards an asset.
Work Schedule:
Typically Monday to Friday, Management Office Hours. Must be flexible to work weekends and evenings.
Encouraged to attend networking and industry events (with prior approval) as well as some basic travel will be expected
