POSITION: Roving Maintenance Technician (Contract)
REPORTING TO: Operations Supervisor
LOCATION: Calgary, Alberta
Carry out the day-to-day execution of operations and maintenance programs to ensure uninterrupted tenant operations and that asset integrity is maintained either directly or via building automation systems.
To perform corrective maintenance and repairs within scope of key trade designation.
Respond to service request and demand maintenance; record data and ensure completed work meets quality and response requirements.
Assist in the implementation of preventative maintenance (PM) program and ensure that PM deficiencies are identified and included in the PM program.
Receive, track, monitor and report status of maintenance and repair work. Initiates documents to authorize or obtain formal approval of work required.
Ensure compliance with corporate and legislated policies, procedures, practices and guidelines related to environmental, health and safety, and fire protection.
Must be able and willing to be available for on-call/standby and emergency call-out as required.
Represent the company in enhancing tenant and customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relations.
Performs other duties, as assigned.
Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience in the maintenance
5th class Power Engineer certificate would be an asset
Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
A high-school education plus a specialized technical or business course
Strong customer service orientation and good communication skills
Positive attitude toward all aspects of Environment, Health and Safety.
Certification in First Aid, such as St. John’s Ambulance.
Knowledge of national and industry codes regulatory governance and standards such as WHMIS.
Able to work outside in all weather conditions, work off of ladders, man lifts & elevated platforms.
Preference given to candidates with valid a lift ticket
